JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – July 17, 2017Located at 1402 San Marco Blvd., Jacksonville favorite Kitchen on San Marco is now offering new “At the Bar” Happy Hour specials weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. Offerings include two-for-one drink specials that feature chardonnay, cabernet, house infusions and wells for $6. The menu also features $5 Florida drafts and flights, as well as $5-off sangria and $2-off signature cocktails such as the Dirty South or the restaurant’s version of an Old Fashioned. Like Kitchen on San Marco’s cuisine, the drink menu changes seasonally.

 

Additionally, guests can enjoy $5 “At the Bar” Snack Specials Monday through Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. Offerings include grit fries, made with Anson Mills White Grits, aged cheddar cheese and herbed garlic oil; house-made pimento cheese, served with smoked tomato jam and baguette; and boiled peanut hummus, served with spiced chips.   “Inspired by the flavors of the season, our team at Kitchen on San Marco has carefully crafted these newest Happy Hour specials to truly give guests a taste of the Jacksonville summer,” says Eve Markowicz, general manager of Kitchen on San Marco. “With superior, locally sourced ingredients and innovative beverage offerings, we know there’s something for everyone at the bar!”

 

Kitchen on San Marco has experienced great success in the last two years, earning several honors from Jacksonville diners. The restaurant has been voted “Best Farm to Table Restaurant” by Jacksonville.com/Florida Times-Union readers in its “Bold City Best” contest two years in a row (2015 and 2016), as well as being named “Best New Restaurant” by Folio Weekly in its annual “Best of Jax” awards. Additionally, Kitchen on San Marco was honored as a finalist for “Best Restaurant Serving Locally Sourced Food” in Folio Weekly’s “Best of Jax” reader poll.

 

The gastropub was also named one of Jacksonville’s Top 20 best restaurants by Jacksonville’s Fine Dining Examiner for its fresh seasonal cuisine and made its list of Top 5 Best New Restaurants for 2016. Kitchen on San Marco was also honored with the Judge’s Choice Award for its GastroFest participation and offering in both 2016 and 2017, as well as Best Entrée in the Farm to Future Culinary Competition in 2016. Most recently, the restaurant was awarded a Snail of Approval by Slow Food First Coast, an organization that celebrates local food and beverages, alongside the people who grow, harvest and prepare it. The award recognizes an establishment’s contributions to the quality, authenticity and sustainability of the food supply of the First Coast Region.
